Historica – festival of living history

We would like to thank the visitors, exhibitors, journalists, the police and our team for this wonderful start in Kassel. We managed to organise the Reenactor Fair within four months, and we will now have a little more time for the next event on 3 and 4 October 2026 at Messe Kassel. We are looking forward to next year.October 11 to 12, 2025 – Messe Kassel

An Association pour l’Histoire Vivante (France) and Avenyra (Germany) event.

The Reenactor Fair Minden moved to Kassel in 2025! After many successful years at its historic location, over 4,500 visitors attended the fair in Kassel at the start of 2025.

Many traders from all over Europe travel to Kassel an der Fulda with an impressive variety of historical goods. Weapons and armors, costumes, fabrics, leather goods, ceramics, jewelry, music instruments, wooden tableware, toys and accessories from all eras up to 1918 invite you to browse and buy on both days. The colourful market scene is complemented by culinary delights on the gourmet street.

In addition to this wonderful range of goods, Historica in Kassel offers a varied supporting programme: historical music, juggling, stilt walking, games, craftsmanship, fighting and much more.

Look forward to an unforgettable experience for the whole family!!!

Important note regarding bringing weapons

Please note that bringing your own weapons – even as part of your equipment or costume – is not permitted on the Historica premises. This regulation is based on current official guidelines, according to which no exemptions are currently granted for carrying weapons at events such as ours.

We therefore kindly ask you to refrain from bringing any type of replica weapons, bladed weapons, firearms or similar items, even if they are part of your historical costume.

With your help, you can ensure that Historica runs safely and smoothly – and that we can all enjoy a wonderful festival full of history and encounters.

Thank you for your understanding!
