Program 2026
The program for the Historica Festival is organised by Le but de l’Association pour l’Histoire Vivante (ApHV) and Avenyra. Their aim is to give all those involved in living history – whether historical re–creators, entertainers, artists or craftspeople from all eras, no matter if amateurs or professionals – the opportunity to showcase their work, exchange ideas and raise their profile.
The 2026 program is still at the planning stage, but is expected to cover the following points:
- Talks with Andrej Pfeiffer–Perkuhn from Geschichtsfenster and selected guests
- Lectures and panel discussions in the auditorium, in collaboration with the Kassel Historical Society
- Workshops on various topics
- Fencing demonstrations by several groups
- Presentations by historical societies
- Bards will provide musical entertainment
- Extensive children’s program
- Sunday, 11.00 am: Round–table discussion for representatives of events and venues

Workshop with Beatrice Baumann (contact juggling, walking acts, stilt walking)
Fireshow Samtfeuer (only on Saturday)
Historical games
Jean Pommerolle (coin minting)
